Overview

Lëvgu-yǟz Kez was founded durring the early 12th century in spring of the year 1135, by Húlien Cheineruth. The establishment of Lëvgu-yǟz Kez was only bairly constructed. The sheer number of problems with its founding were enough to make several of the backers funding Lëvgu-yǟz Kez's construction back out of the project. Húlien Cheineruth pushed on reguardles, and Lëvgu-yǟz Kez was finished, but starts off as a terible place to live.

Lëvgu-yǟz Kez was built using the conventions of Wood Elven durring the early 12th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Lëvgu-yǟz Kez is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature waddle and daub construction with good timber frames and a stone foundation protected by thatched or shingled rooves. Most buildings with second floors are built in such a way as to overhang into the streets on the upper floors for more space, as building size seems to be the primary indicator of wealth within the community. Most buildings are not decorated with any integral features, but instead use ivy, flowers, and other natural elements in planters of on trellices to breathe life into the structure they grow upon.

Lëvgu-yǟz Kez is is constructed arround a semi-circular restrictive gravel mainstreet, with smaller strait roads linking the circiles to eachother at varrious points. The town is the proud owner of a thick set of fortified walls fashioned from querried stone blocks. While not up to snuff for a fort or castle wall, the town's walls are naturaly much larger than those of forts or castles. Therefore, the construction such a wall is most expencive. Lëvgu-yǟz Kez's buget focused wall would serve its community well in battle in spite of looking unimpressive compared to castles and fortresses. Lëvgu-yǟz Kez's top tier civilian fortifications are in an unremarkable state. To some, this is the ideal sate for defences to be in. In need of absoutly nothing, and ready to serve the town as needed.

Lëvgu-yǟz Kez has a very calm atmosphere. People can be seen relaxing, scocilizing, and going about all manner of business other than the daily grind. Men, women, children, all can be seen enjoying life in a laid-back way in the many parks which line Lëvgu-yǟz Kez’s streets. A look around Lëvgu-yǟz Kez has something terribly wrong with it. It’s impossible to put one’s finger on, but something is horribly wrong. Maybe it’s the way fog blankets the ground, but only in the connors of places. Maybe it’s the vermin scutteling between shadows in the corner of your eyes. Perhaps it’s the overcast sky which seemed to creep out of nowhere, or the distant howling of wolves. Maybe it’s everything together. Regardless, you do not feel it would be wise to remain in Lëvgu-yǟz Kez long.

Cultural Notes

Lëvgu-yǟz Kez's town hall was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is best known for the combined use of arcuated and trabeated construction, employing arches and constructed with post and lintel. The arch served as the style's chief structural element, with flanking columns serving as buttresses or decorations. While the general shape of their structures could be generously described as simplistic, the use of these arches and columns created a most distinct ascetic which is easily distinguishable on sight to armatures and experts alike.

Points of Interest

Lëvgu-yǟz Kez is a major trade hub, connecting several important cities or resource production areas. It’s probably at an important river juncture, ancient crossroads, or occupying the only safe path through some perilous wilderness. Its position may be important enough that it can survive on trade alone, despite being unable to feed itself with the surrounding land. Such hubs are usually heavily garrisoned by the lord who profits from their tariffs and taxes.

The center of Lëvgu-yǟz Kez's town square was built around an ancient standing stone.
